Parents, hands on learning is something I find very important. I think that it is one of the best learning styles that keep students engaged. Most educators are faced with students who suffer from many different learning disabilities such as ADD, ADHD, and many other behavioral issues. By teaching lessons that require hands on learning teachers are able to push out most of their behavior issues within the classroom. This type of learning is becoming one of the most popular types. It allows for students to break away from the paper, pencil, lecture repetitiveness. Even if the teacher allows three times a week for students to do an arts and craft instead of a worksheet the learning environment will appear as more positive to them. School systems are slowly removing different things such a music class which just adds to students sitting in the classroom doing the same thing all day. Students are losing that break away from the classroom. This is why it is our job as parents and educators to promote hands on learning and to figure out what kind of learner your child is. Please review the link below about hands on learning and why it is so important.
